Game play loop for "The Night Shift" pt. 2
The game play loop for "The Night Shift" was going to be hellish for the player, I wanted to replicate the feeling of working in a restaurant, waiting patiently for the next customer to come through those doors and the only source to occupy your mind would be the music that would repeat until you either tune it out or live with it. It was very similar to my past job where I couldn't change the music and the only to keep myself occupied was with work but if there's no work to be done...how will the player handle not moving. The player can't turn off the music as the customer would like to listen to something as they are being served.
The game play loop can be summarized to "Customer spawns and searches for a seat --> Player walks up to the customer --> Player interacts with customer --> The customer gives an order and waits patiently --> IF the player doesn't give their food on time = being attacked by the customer || On the other hand, IF the player give their food on time = customer leaves the restaurant & either heals the player or attack them (such rude customers) --> This repeats until the player dies by their injuries and it would restart from the very beginning(if the player wishes so)."
