"The Night Shift" contributing to my learning pt. 3
After publishing this project on Itch.io, I got time to reflect further on the status of this game and how it contributed to my learning on Unity and C#, it was undoubtably frustrating to work alone on this project, not being able to bounce ideas with others and speeding the progress of this game before it's deadline. It was awful but the experience was great, it showed that if the idea can't be explained to others clearly the project will not succeed, others will not be able to follow along and so you have to change the direction of the game to make things simpler. I had overcomplicated my own scripts which resulted in further problems but once I took the time to see if lines, methods or scripts were needed in this project, the easier it got to finishing my project. Of course, there would be hiccups here and there but that's how we learned. "The Night Shift" showed me that I need to keep a steady pace, look over my lines of code and methods, see if anything is repeating before I get burned out, as much as I wish to drop and forget this game - inspiration did spark within to create a better experience for my players, if there are any but regardless, I would love to continue perfecting this game further until I feel satisfied with its current build.
